After-School Rehearsal Expectations & Schedule
Graded, Mandatory After- School Section Rehearsals will be held on Monday thru Thursday beginning the week of January 14th. Rehearsals will begin each day at 3:30 PM and end at 5:00 PM. Each student will be required to attend one section rehearsal each week.
Full Band Rehearsals will be on Tuesday Afternoons from 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM, beginning February 5th, 2008. All After School Rehearsals are an extension of the classroom and the school day and are therefore required.
Going forward please do not make routine medical, dental and orthodontic appointments during your practice time.
Unexcused student absence(s) may result in a Parent-Teacher Conference to discuss the student's continued membership in the Honors Band.
Honors Band Sectional Schedule
Beginning the week of 1-14-08, 3:30 PM – 5:00 PM
- Monday - Flutes, Oboes and Clarinets
- Tuesday - Trumpets (through January; will have to be rescheduled starting in Feb)
- Wednesday - French Horns and Alto Saxophones
- Thursday - Trombones, Bassoon, Baritones, Tenor Saxes, Bass Clarinet, Bari Sax and Tubas
- Friday - Make ups and Extra Help
These instrument groupings will change from time to time in March/April as we prepare for UIL.
