Short report on the Weather in Bernham from Mr. S.:

Well, it was a gorgeous day in Brenham , Texas. And then, a small cloud appeared and Murphy's Law went into full effect.

Our kids did the best they could to overcome a badly run contest and several issues that were out of the control of our instructors and very helpful parent volunteers.

However, many lessons were learned and we will go forward and implement strategies to overcome some of the obstacles we encountered and improve all of the performance issues which did not meet our expectations. Our stinging marks and unnecessarily nasty comments form the judges reinforced what we already knew when we left the field.

Frankly, the students performed much better Thursday night and during the morning practice before we left for the contest. We have a winning group of parents and students and a wining show. So, we will move on now and our kids will be very successful at UIL.

Our schedule (above) for the next several days reflects my best professional judgment and years of experience as to the time needed to improve all areas of our product.

Again, it was a picture-perfect day in Brenham, however, I may have to think twice before buying Blue Bell ice cream for a while.
