Team,
We go to UIL this Tuesday, October 23rd.
For months now, our students and parent volunteers have worked tirelessly taking each step as a team on our way to this important event.
Now that we are here, I want to tell you that while we deserve and have proven in rehearsal and at games that our Mighty Cardinal Band is a First Division Band, the rating we get on Tuesday will be decided by three fallible human beings. One of them will love our cutting edge style and music. One will have no idea why he or she is there. Another will be looking for each error or tic and will be keeping a tight score. Well, good for them!
My experience since coming to Bellaire has provided me with an opportunity to work with the finest students and families in my entire career. So my personal and professional goals for this semester are already achieved.
In conclusion, we should all be very proud of the hard work and vast accomplishments of the past 80 days and continue to raise the bar for ourselves in every endeavor as we go forward.
The students have already won!
Best wishes
Robert Sullivan
