Band Notes - Jan 9, 2008
Welcome to 2008. Hope you enjoyed your time off. We did! A few items to start:
The first BBPO meeting of the year will be this Tuesday January 15th 6:30 pm in the band hall. All parents welcome to attend. Agenda items include: Spring trip, All-City Band; Regional Band; Rehearsals; Color Guard Trip
All members of the Honors Band will audition for the HISD ALL-CITY BAND
The cost for the audition is $10.00 and the audition date is January 19th.
All-Region Orchestra and Band Audition fees (remember those?) Past due---$20-/event
Lets get all fees in no later than January 14th. Thank you.
Graded, Mandatory After- School Section Rehearsals will be held on Monday thru Thursday beginning the week of January 14th. Rehearsals will begin each day at 3:30 PM and end at 5:00 PM. Each student will be required to attend one section rehearsal each week.
Fri, Jan 18: 2nd Spring Trip Installment Due ... $125
Sat, Jan 19: HISD All-City Band auditions -- The Mighty Cardinal Band is hosting this event, so we will need parents to volunteer time during this.
Finally there are quite a few students that still owe band and color guard fees. A list is posted in the band hall, ask your child to check you may be surprised to find your name there. If you have the means please make your payment as soon as possible. If you need assistance please contact the BBPO president Betsy Johnson or Treasurer Cassie Kane in confidence. – Thank You
